My Favorite Grid

This is my favorite grid made in LightRoom. I chose this photograph because it had strong elements of line and texture. I proceeded to rotate this photo 12 times and chose different angles and zoom. This shot is off two pipes on the ground with any different dead leaves and foliage. This is my favorite because it is difficult to tell what is in the photo and the different rotations make it interesting to look at.

What I learned: History of photography documentary

In the photography documentary, I learned how important photography is in remembering memories and events that have happened. I learned that even the simplest or least attractive object can be turned into something beautiful thanks to photography.

Paul Strand was an American modernist photographer and film maker from New York City, New York. He helped create photography as a form of art in the 20th century. Strand was a renowned photographer who died March 31, 1976.

My favorite shots

Shot #1: I love this landscape, wide angle shot because the scenary is beautiful. This shows the "wide angle" framing because you can see a lot of this golf course, almost as if it was panoramic.
Shot #2: This is another one of my favorite shots because I like the detail and the close up of the eyelashes and eyebrow. I like the focus on the dark eyelashes contrasting her pale, porcelain skin.
Shot #3: I like this photograph because it is very realistic and colorful. You can tell from this picture that it is at some sort of market because of the reaching hand, instead of just a pile of pears. The variety of color of the pears gives you something to analyze and look at.

Inspirational Photography

This photo was taken by Umberto Verdoliva. I like his work because he uses light, shadows and geometry as his tools. This photo has a lot of contrast between light and dark. I like this photo particularly because it seems unposed and very natural for a woman to be walking down the street while the geometry is still present
This photography was taken by Lara Jade Coton. I enjoy her photography because my favorite is couture fashion photography. I love the foreground for this photograph because it is very contradictory from the white princess dress. The lighting is very pretty with the contrast from the dark clouds to the shining sun.
This photograph of Angelina Jolie was taken by George Holz. I like this photo because it is a close up and very detailed. I like how the color of her eyes match the stem of the strawberry. Your attention directly goes to her beautiful green eyes.

Profile picture

This photo was taken by Mary Thoma at Lincoln High School. It is my favorite image of the bunch because it is very expressive in a joking way and the background is very natural. I chose this photo because it is a nice profile shot while showing my personality.
